Independence Day Celebration “Red, White and Boom”

The City of Duncan’s Abe Raizen Park, located at 2500 N ‘N” St, is the location for Duncan’s second annual “Red, White and Boom” celebration of Independence Day on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024, with the public invited to come and celebrate.

In partnership with The Chickasaw Nation, the “Red, White and Boom” festivities will have a family fun zone with inflatables, food for purchase at food trucks and the band “Old 81 Band” prior to the fireworks show. Parking is in designated areas only, with handicapped parking available. Portable restrooms and a cooling tent will also be onsite.

Schedule:

5:00 pm Abe Raizen Park opens to the public

5:00-9:00 pm Family Fun Zone

5:00-9:30 pm Food Trucks

5:30-9:30 pm Entertainment by Band

9:30 pm Welcome and Thank you of Sponsors

9:45 pm Fireworks begin(approximate time)

10:05 pm Fireworks end(approximate time)

This event is possible due to the contributions of many- thank you to The Chickasaw Nation, The Chisholm Trail Casino, Mayor Armstrong, Councilmembers Brown, Fischer, Peters, Wininger and the City of Duncan staff who have helped coordinate this celebration, particularly City Manager Chris Deal, Deputy City Manager Kenzie Wheeler, Fire Chief Dayton Burnside, Police Chief Brian Attaway, Emergency Management Director Bryan Eades, Public Works Director Buddy Hokit, Assistant Public Works Director Larry Jones and the many staff and volunteers who gave of their time and talents to provide this community celebration.

In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be postponed to July 5th, 2024.
